If Officer Derek Chauvin really wanted to protect his community, he would have plead guilty already. Taking one for the team would have prevented the deadly riots that are about to happen after the jury finds him not guilty. Not a man of honour and service.

No it wouldn't prevent riots. The riots were pre-planned and they will go on regardless of the outcome of the trial. But city officials should be prepared to face down the violence with swift justice.
