A pineapple has "many eyes, it sees the opportunity ahead and faster than others" in Chinese culture.
?? Theory ??
Digging a little into possible meanings of yesterday's tweet from Pompeo and came across this:
Chinese Pineapple Symbolism Over the years doing this project, I’ve talked to many amazing people. One day, I learned about pineapple symbolism in Chinese culture. What does it mean?
The pineapple is a symbol of good luck! Because of its many eyes, it sees the opportunity ahead and faster than others.
Could this relate to the current political situation between Taiwan and China?
Or is the US going to shove a pineapple up the CCP's arse if they do invade Taiwan?
That would bring a tear to their eye.
The CCP bailed on their contract to buy pineapples from Taiwan to screw Taiwan over and then Australian and Japan ended up buying those up instead. Pineapples have become a Chinese resistance fruit now.
Just saw, makes a whole lot more sense than good luck symbols ☺️
Pineapple rad. Very important in Colonial days, was a sign of Welcome on someone’s entry. Still rings true in the Deep South today and pineapple very popular in Florida.
This is due to the fact that in colonial days, it was very expensive to import pineapples. So, when you wanted to show hospitality to your guests, you served pineapple.
Sometimes a pineapple is just a pineapple
From Pompeo?
And the wording is odd. Kind of in the same syllabic inflection as Trump's famous covefe tweet.
Apropos of nothing, last year I planted the top of 2 grocery store pineapples in pots and then transplanted them into the ground in full sun. I actually got a nice ripe and delicious pineapple in each plant. And then the oddball Texas freeze killed both.
You can grow them here? Wild!
I didn't know it either. My mom & aunt had green thumbs, I just grow tomatoes and squash in the summer. But after my 2 favorite women passed, I decided to make a go of it. I thought they'd just make pretty potted plants but they were outgrowing the pots & I thought what the hell, put them in the ground. The fruit grows dead center. And they were so juicy and sweet when I picked them, even if they were a little small.
Thanks for the sticky mods!
I'm thinking the pineapple trade war is a better theory now, though. Maybe it's a twofer.
Hah Looked it up. I know it has meaning on a boat too. But I dont think this is what I am looking for.
"On a cruise (and sometimes also on land) ‘pineapple’ is code for swinging or wife-swapping. If you see pineapple on a cruise ship door it means that the people in the cabin are up for meeting other couples for ‘adult fun’."

Just watched a Tucker Carlson clip of Chinese businessman saying they had fixed Trump for more opportunity between them and those at the top in the US.
Could you explain this? I honestly don't get what you're saying.
The guy was talking to other businessmen, film was pulled immediately. He expressed the 'fixing of Trump' in terms of opportunity. They saw an opportunity in electing Xiden because Trump had put a stop to the many opportunities from favourable relationships with media and politicians.
Thank you!
Apparently pineapples also mean you are a couple that swings? You think Pompeo has been getting randy with pence and his wife? Kidding...
