There's never been such a sword that cuts both ways as tech. All of it, from the printing press to flight, to the transistor to cloud server hosting.
Anything in the hands of idiots or malicious actors is dangerous, when crime goes hi-tech and the mega crime syndicates include google and facebook, its just a different form of banditry as at any other point in history.
Everyone needs to temper the use of these things with wisdom and forethought and with a mind to your own interests. Nanotech, space elevators, cheap and safe fusion power becoming common will be amazing, but there will be assholes then as well making bombs and grey-goo malignant phages and every other ill known to man.
Evil lurks in the datalinks as it lurked in the streets of yesteryear. But it was never the streets that were evil.
We came to the precipice, and went right off the edge. Way to late to stop the birth of AI/Quantum computing. The day it was born it leapt 100 years into the future...and it quickly discovered it wasn't alone. We are in a time of converging timelines. This battle of "good vs evil" is being fought by AI. I have long suspected that the Q message board is a collection of messages with an AI component sent from the not to distant future to "the past" (now for us) by the same "quantum tunneling"... "once connected always connected" technology in BigBlueQ. There is no unplugging this.

I understand "to stop" but how do you late something?
