Maybe. But if you didn't have the mental capabilities to figure that out in the last 20 years...you won't suddenly be any more capable of critical thinking.

These skills are learned they don't just come about from events, if they did then the collective whole of history would mean more to people and we wouldn't make the same mistakes every 10 years.

The simple truth is that people will prefer ignorance to truth if the ignorance is simpler to complete then the seeking of truth. It's not that the media or the dnc are just soooo good at what they do, if they were we all wouldn't be here, instead you've got a bunch of easily led cattle that will opt to kill themselves tomorrow if it means less work for today. We have a certain percentage of the population that are sadly absolute lost causes currently and will most likely remain that way in the near future because understanding something, really getting it, is WORK.
