My church like many in suburban NC were closed for nearly a year. They reopened forcing masks. I would feel like a satanist going to a service in a mask. I voiced my opinion to the pastor, he is a new pastor and seems liberal. My church was conservative. So I went on a mission and found a church that had mask free service. They do have a mask only service to in order to cater to those members. They are conservative and strictly Biblical, like all churches should be.
Any way, I went to the service it was amazing. It was contemporary style, but, Bible focused. There was nobody in a mask in site. People shaking hands, smiling and hugging. This church started back up last June and they somehow aren't all dead, lol. What a liberating feeling it was too attend.
I went alone to check it out, I will bring my family back this Sunday. This church is not a major denomination aligns itself with a small group of similar churches. My advice is to get away from the large denominations, they are likely controlled just like the catholic church.
Thank you so much for sharing! I'm happy you found a new church that doesn't require masks!! Bless you.
Good for you! I made it known this week that the reason the folks at my church have not seen me is because of the mask mandate. They are now supposedly going to be putting it to a vote. If they keep the masks, I am done with that church.
at least they will vote. If the vote is close but masks win suggest having 2 services, one with masks one without. If they wont do that walk away, but look for a new church. It felt grest to be around other Christians, I think it is needed.
Good to know. Thank you for sharing
Man dude, I'm jealpus! But good for you! Enjoy the freedom of the Lord.
Good for you & God bless your family! I think the key really is to avoid churches taking federal dollars...
Congrats! I too have stepped away from my church where I served and even took over the men’s ministry. I just could not take them being closed the forcing the mask mandate to such a degree that you were not even allowed in the lobby without masks. They were also Pentecostal, I’ve never been Pentecostal but my wife grew up that way. I finally said we need to get our family into a theologically reformed church that preaches the word of God rather than a feel good self-help pep talk. My wife agreed and we’ve been trying a couple places ? This year long lockdown has strengthened my faith, and I think we are heading towards a great awakening for sure!
thanks for the reply. It is tough, my wife isnt as awake as I am. This church move isnt being fought, but it isnt being embraced either. I feel like it is my duty to bring my family and we will go tomorrow. My kids go to school in masks, they go to activities in masks. With this move I am making sure they know, no mask normalcy is beautiful. It is what God wants.
Of course I wouldnt make this move only for masks. This church is Biblically driven. Not having masks is not all the church is about. But, it is a beautiful beacon of the truth that they represent.
Amen, i pray it goes well for you!
Good job finding a needle in a haystack. All of the churches in my area are cucked. I'd never go to church in a mask. What a giant middle finger to God.
exactly. It took me a while to find. I searched online and usimg maps, read their websites then if they looked promising emailed the head Pastor with questions about their beliefs and the mask.
I didnt think I would find one, but glad I did.
We changed churches about a year ago because of the insanity. What I have observed is that the denomination that I grew up being told was full of the crazies, the pentecostal church, seems to be the most based denomination that we have found. A lot of the messages, at least in the church we are going to, sound a lot like the things I'm seeing Christians say on this site.
that's great. We should go where God is. Where people follow God not society. Also, the people at the church I went to seem so truly happy. You can see Christ's love inside them.
This whole thing has people rethinking their relationship with God and their relationship with the church. A very good thing imo.
I agree, It seems to me as anything gets too big and corporate it is at risk of becoming evil.
Great news. Congrats!!!!!!
