The public education venture is still a fairly new endeavor. It’s been going on for what the last 200 years or so? It’s a great new American experiment - “the free and appropriate education experiment.” Parents have been bringing up and educating their own children for far longer in societal history. Many educators don’t know what they are doing quite frankly, many can’t agree on the fundamentals of teaching reading to young students. Many school districts prioritize the wrong things or wildly waste money on poor curriculum causing the students to suffer as a whole. As a teacher, I can’t stand this kind of arrogance from other teachers.

Communication is hard enough at 2 years old without wearing a mask! I try to encourage everyone I meet that I see wearing one to take it off - “you don’t have to wear that,” or “it’s okay if you want to take your mask off around us, we don’t mind”
No child should be made to feel that they’re in “trouble” for not wearing a mask. Shame on the adults in these situations that cause this type of shame in a child. The shame is on the adults 💯
