Get the heck away from big cities. Buy ammo. Stockpile non perishables. Buy guns. Buy more ammo. Get in touch with based friends/ family ( not necessarily Q, but patriotic, and find a place where you all can dig in. Buy some books and board games for pass times. Download and install some good movies and single player/local Coop games in case the power grid remains untouched. Buy a ham radio and make sure you know how to use it.
I'll add a few things myself:
Learn how to cook, it's pathetic that so many people I know can't even cook rice or an egg. I know I am an exception as I did it professionally for 10 years, but I was cooking when I was a kid.
Know some skills or build a network of people that have skills. Can you fix your car? Can you weld something or fabricate it? Roof your home, hang sheetrock, even paint correctly? Know someone that is an electrician, or carpenter? Know someone that can code? Do you have a green thumb or a black thumb? Can you run a chainsaw? Can you fish or hunt, know how to reload? Chemistry knowledge, know a mechanical engineer, a machinist?
It's great to share ideas here and so forth, but knowledge of other things is power, and skill can put that knowledge to great effect.
All true, but over the past couple of months I've converted extra cash to silver rounds. Why?
Any thoughts on the best way to purchase at the market value of silver without wasting money on transactional fees?
With cash at local coin shops if they have any left.
You forgot the possibility of the furries becoming werewolves and trying to enslave us. Silver rounds will be worth more than any amount of gold or jewels then.
