One of my favorite all time movies (Hudson Hawk) was a 2 something out of 10 on imdb for years. (It has since moved up to a 5.8. Proof that it was a movie ahead of its time, which I said repeatedly at the time it came out.)
A movie I really wish I could take back the time spent watching was a 9ish out of 10 (Titanic). It has since moved down to a 7.8, but still, not a good movie, yet super highly rated for years.
Don't put too much stock in ratings. You will miss out on some truly great films, and invest too much time in crap if you listen to the opinions of Hollywood shills too closely.

Totally agree. Ratings are purely subjective, sometimes they hit the mark, other times not even close.
It's not a 4.9 movie for sure. But to each his own.
