I live in North Carolina where masks are mandated everywhere. I wanted to start my campaign immediately after realizing the potatus was going to be a thing, but I had a major health crisus happen at the same time. I had too much aluminum in my system and likely other heavy metals. Long story, but I am on the mend now and have been quietly disobeying the mask mandates for about a week now. I needed to get healthy enough to fight before fighting. I hope this makes sense.
At first nobody said a word and I noticed some interesting things. Some places do not have employees wearing masks unless a masked customer comes in. I am seeing sadness in eyes of mask wearers. Last night I had a clerk fuss at me because someone complained to them.
Am I crazy for pushing back deep in mask territory? Often I am the only one not wearing a mask. Are there stores I should gravitate towards? After having an employee fuss at me, I feel somewhat obligated to speak to management and see exactly where they stand on customers like me. The clerk seemed to imply that I was a disturbance to their store because I was not following the rules of the store. I want to find the most peaceful way to end this madness. Any ideas are welcome. I do not want to discuss why I will not be wearing a mask. HIPAA is real. Cheers!
I just don’t wear one. But I’m assertive when asked. It’s going to sound counterintuitive to the whole peaceful thing, but assume the dominant role in the interaction. Direct eye contact, and confidence. Make it clear that you won’t comply and usually I’ve noticed the soy boy employees that say anything at all about it will avoid the confrontation with someone assuming the dominant role. In a way, it’s reminding the soy boys of their place by showing them that you won’t allow them to control you. They usually falter.
