Hmm. I don't think it's evil things making him step down.
Kaplan itching to get Overwatch 2 in a new eSports league and get going on a new project, but sounds like Blizzard is strapped for cash and had layoffs, pushing OW2 development out at least another year.
Meanwhile, Ann Hand at SLGG acquired a twitch-like streamer and looking to break out into non-traditional eSports areas but held back by capital and a need for new titles to play.
Now add Ryan Cohen, in the Gamestop driver's seat, newly flush with cash and zero debt, shaping the turnaround strategy and looking for a new CEO.
Put the three of them together and let's just say I like the stonk.
