When Chauvin was escorted away in cuffs today, I thought it was weird how it seemed he made an effort to open his hands and make them as big as possible. I didn't read into it too much, was sickened with the outcome and situation at hand, and didn't go back and look.
I just looked at a post on telegram from Ghost Ezra (I know, have to verify), and he posted a pic of Chauvin's hands in cuffs along with Huntpede Xiden's back tattoo of the finger lakes. The hands seemed to have the outlines of the lakes. There was clearly something written on Chauvin's hands. Anybody else see this? Would this make sense? Is this seriously a part of the movie? *Picture link in comments
Ghost also asked if anybody saw the Newsmax headline of guilty before the judge even read it. I saw it, and it seemed more like simultaneous, but still very quick.
When you open your hands, your wrist muscles flex more, making your wrist slightly larger than with a closed fist (try it). If you want a little more space in your handcuffs, you open up your hands as big as possible, so then when you relax into a more fist-like position you have some wiggle room (or enough room to slip out of the handcuffs if that’s your plan). I would guess most cops know this.
Edit: I’m not saying this is definitive, but I think it passes Occam's Razor when it comes to the open hands.
