If the officer is not charged or convicted, it's used as pretense to make the riots worse.
If the officer is charged and convicted, then it's used to demoralize police officers so they don't enforce the law.
The ultimate goal is to get the rioters mad enough, and the police disempowered and demoralized enough, that the outrage mob that simply drag "undesirable" people out of their homes, and beat them to death in the street without police interfering with them. That's when the real revolution starts.
The only way to stop this cycle would be to cut the head off the snake and arrest the higher-ups pulling the strings within the media and BLM / antifa.
these kinds of groups lose morale really quickly so that isnt actually true, if a group of 20 people try to attack your house and you shoot 5-6 of them as they try to get in with them hearing more than one type of gunshot a lot of them will run off and those who were actually willing to do anything will be very few in number remaining; don't forget NOBODY wants to die
