Bill passes house for D.C. to become 51st "state"

Yet another power grab of the democratic party
You would think that states themselves would have to approve any new member states to their union of the United States of America. We have to have constitutional conventions or 2/3 majority of the House to propose Amendments to the Constitution. And we need 3/4 of the states to approve them, or 38 of the 50 states.
Diluting our constitution by adding states willy-nilly seams counter to our Founding Documents.
Will there ever come a point where We The People actually say, "Enough! We are taking it all back. You work for us and as a famous man once said, You're FIRED."
We are getting closer and closer to just throwing everything out and starting with a whole new constitution. We've done well for 245 years, but here is a reminder of our founding principles.
Declaration of Independence:
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States.
