Was doing spring cleaning around the house and property and had all day to see all the blessings that the Lord has bestowed on my family and I.
No I don't have toys like the neighbors, my house isn't big, my property isn't huge, my vehicles aren't new, I'm not a millionare.
In spite of all that stuff, My family is healthy, our home a great fit for us, our property is big enough for the family to have fun, I don't need to take the cars somewhere to have them serviced and don't have payments, I make a good wage with benefits.
The Lord has blessed us all and recognizing what you have instead of what you want seems to be a mindset of yester-year.
Thank to Lord and have a great day ??????
Way to still have your first vehicle. I have usually bought fixer uppers and then sold them when I stumble across the next good deal. Drove the wife crazy but I've simmered down and have settled back to Jeeps. Gonna stick with the since they're easy and cheap to fix (same as your Toyota). Plus I like solid axle 4x4s.
You are like my hubby. lol. He has simmered down too. But he used to buy a 'new' used truck every 6 months. My kids were raised in that corolla, I can't bear to part with it. It's my little 'go kart' to get around town now. I love that car.
I learned it from my dad. He used to buy cars from the junkyard and fix them, use them as daily drivers and then sell them when he got the next car. Working with your hands and turning junk into something useful again is no longer considered the way to live.
I have an old school hubby. He buys everything used. And I love him for it. He can fix and build anything. There aren't many men around like him anymore. My dad was the same way though, no wonder I was attracted to him. :)
My father in-law is a fixer as well. That's probably why my wife married me too ?
