It is conceivable that she was not shot at all, and I cannot rule out the possibility that she is/was still alive. There is anecdotal evidence to support that theory based on assumptions of the ballistics of the weapon, the apparent trajectory of the bullet, and other factors.
But until there is solid proof of that, I cannot assume that as fact based on subjective evidence. It is equally conceivable that the "shot to the neck" actually hit her collar bone near her throat, before penetrating her neck. And that would result in different wound ballistics that could easily look like a "neck shot" into soft tissue, rather than a bullet impact that hit bone first.
So, from my perspective, when I apply Occam's Razor to the event, it's more likely that she was murdered in cold blood by a radical commie DC cop, rather than an elaborate faked shooting for nebulous motives.
