Once I cracked a tarsal (long bone) in my foot and I spent a month merely wrapping it with a lot of Ace wrap. My doctor and others were against a rigid cast for minor fractures. It was pretty hard to find a shoe that would fit over the fat foot. I would have loved a nice boot like that.
