Well I live in ND a couple hours from the Bakken. If they try this, then I would strongly recommend protesting because it's a bit effing lie.

I wouldn't be surprised if the "projected shortage" is planned-- meaning that the DS puppeteers figured out that using federal data checking on driver's of HAZMAT carriers who had alcohol, drug, or convictions would eliminate 20~30% of drivers right off the bat.

Then causing the rumor mill to generate hysteria in drives of gas cars to exacerbate the situation. Finally, raising Federal gasoline taxes to make it more costly to operate a gas or diesel vehicle... yep the plan comes together nicely.
