I watched the speech seeing if Xiden would mess up as he often does. It was boring as hell. I'm not surprised Cruz would fall asleep. I think they intentionally slowed it down and drew it out to make it seem longer than it was (and made it more boring). Also, many instances of applause to lengthen the speech without having to add extra words to it. He did have a few minor slip ups but was able to recover and didn't devolve to his normal self.

Other than that, he did steal a few ideas from Trump but no chance he will actually implement them. His handlers saw they were popular and thought they would pretend Xiden is on board with them.
