Trump did promise us some medical developments that would be considered miraculous in the near future. I believe he specifically said we're going to cure cancer. Personally, I believe the cures for most diseases have probably been discovered long ago but it's all been covered up so big pharma can continue to push the treatment and not the cure.

Hopefully it all makes sense in the end.
