I don't think that's the same person who wrote the article - I see no proof.

Neither do I. The name is rare enough to be a match but that doesn't mean the entire article isnt a fabrication that this person had their name added to. I couldn't find a link to the article either, and I'm not the only one who was looking judging by the other comments here.
