There are actually a lot of American residents who live long term in China for various reasons. I don't think this will lead anywhere, there were just so few of these ballots seen in the videos. I do believe that they were legitimate. Still, I think mail in ballots from overseas are too problematic, if you're gone for over a month then I'm sorry, but you waive your right to vote in my opinion, unless you're on a US military base. There just needs to be some form of notary or official who can certify that the person who voted, actually voted for who they voted. With overseas ballots, or even any kind of mail in ballot, this process is nearly impossible to do.
I agree with this. Just a quick search DDG search shows between 75K and 110K. Also, this link states they can use courier companies to deliver absentee ballots if the state requires mail-ins. https://www.amcham-shanghai.org/en/article/how-vote-china-guide#!

I doubt that many were there during COVID. Furthermore, that's not a good source because its definitely a pro-China organization.
