That's been there for a while, it's to deter new visitors. Shows up if you Google with Android phone, probably other OS's as well

Because they are the default search engines for other softwares & business's. In the IT world (at least in the 3 companies I've worked for), it's our default search engine for everyone running down information when troubleshooting etc. It's actually imbedded into some SW packages as a help search engine. I'm sure it's that way across industries.
