I should add that it makes more sense in Trump's way anyway. A big lie is described as something that "nobody would believe someone so respectable could distort the truth so horribly."
The left definitely doesn't think Trump is respectable, but lot's of misguided patriots still trust the media and the establishment and believe they could never get away with stealing an election or ad nauseum spamming how fair it is. But then again, I shouldn't expect the people who constantly misuse terms and words that they think make them sound smart and witty to use another term correctly (like "snowflake", "whataboutism", "fallacy", or straight up just posting on a subreddit like mildlyinteresting to shill political shit, "but the name says mildlyinteresting and so and such doing this and getting away with is mildlyinteresting".)
