Good call out. Remember the pattern with Bezos:

Divorce > ex gets billions > Bezos steps down as CEO

You don’t do that after your biggest year ever, for Amazon and for the Gates Foundation. And you don’t do that if you’re on the cusp of victory. You do it if you’re on defense.
