Is this more ball tickling? Previous experience has shown that anything they officially announce is to catch the DS off guard or draw out swamp creatures.

My general rule of thumb:

If nothing's happening and you are dooming = something is happening behind the scenes.

If they are hyping something up and you have OD'd on hopium = optics to troll the DS.
