I imagine there are ways around that, by using another domain to post from, and posting a redirecting url from a third party url shortener. Not a coder, but I can forsee some pushback on a straight domain ban. Hopefully so.
On top of that you imbed a randomizer and now you generate any number of sources you want. Twatter will end up blocking whole swaths of the internet trying to stop the, if that works at all. Ends up being self defeating. They're already a shell of what they once were, becoming the new myspace, completely irrelevant.
I think it would just be an interesting way to tie up Twitter assets (devs) in pointless effort that wasn't necessary in the first place. Of course the effort needed to do so would need to be minimal in order for it to be worthwhile. This classic comes to mind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bmz67ErIRa4
