Why did Trump decide not to pardon the capital stormers/sightseers

I dont think I have ever read a discussion about this and have been wondering why.

Is Trump being selfish....is there anything to gain by letting them take the fall....just post up opinions, what ever they are.

Is there a Q related reason why it makes sense?

To benefit an argument or prove a point, but never for his personal benefit, Trump would let his allies twist in the wind. For example, he probably didn't pardon Gen. Flynn much earlier because he wanted us to see how corrupt the courts were.
