Why did Trump decide not to pardon the capital stormers/sightseers

I dont think I have ever read a discussion about this and have been wondering why.

Is Trump being selfish....is there anything to gain by letting them take the fall....just post up opinions, what ever they are.

Is there a Q related reason why it makes sense?

I dont think assange can be pardoned. Especially since he didnt commit any crimes
