Nowhere are First Amendment rights mentioned. Google and the other big tech companies conspire to appoint themselves the arbiters of what can and cannot be said in a public forum. And yet these same companies argue that they deserve the legal protection they enjoy as facilitators of communication highways and should not be considered editors whose actions would be exposed to legal challenge for damages caused by their decisions. Heads they win, tails everyone else loses. This needs changed immediately. Anyone who supports this status quo in the halls of congress should be primaried ASAP and replaced. This should be a bipartisan issue. Free speech is everyone's right regardless of your party affiliation or if you're independent.
