He's a Catholic, and while he speaks out against the current Pope and his words and deeds, he also speaks out against Protestants, without mentioning the reasons WHY there was a split and Reformation in the first place. The Catholic Church has long been compromised by the very forces of Evil were fighting against. And by that, I mean, it's been compromised for AT LEAST a millennia, leat we forget the Dark Ages, Inquisition, the Borgia Family, and many others like him that both precede him and we're his successors. Including the last 5.
Vigano is deluded if he thinks the Reformation was inspired by Satan. He's even more deluded becuse he is still a Catholic, prays to others that aren't God, and believes he'll be saved in the end, even after following doctrines handed down to him by false prophets and Satanic Priests.
As a Catholic I respectfully disagree with you on your comments at the end. I like the phrase “we don’t desert Jesus because of Judas” (I will not desert the only church that can trace her lineage back to Christ because of some evil people; overall, the number of good, holy priests vastly outnumber the bad ones). I believe the holier something is, the more Satan is going to attack it. That’s why the church is constantly under attack. Satan hates it with a vengeance. The life of St. John Vianney is a real eye-opener to the kinds of things some priests have to go through spiritually, and they are only human. We need to pray for them to have the strength to resist the calls of Satan. The call to break away from the church and start your own and make up your own beliefs (breaking away from the flock) isn’t something that God has asked. Christ said one fold and one shepherd. Have there been errors and mistakes made by people in the Catholic Church? Absolutely. But we don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. We need to get rid of those who have infiltrated the church in order to restore it. Which I believe is what Vigano is saying
Another quick note regarding something in case you are not aware of it: we also literally have the body of Christ; if you’re not familiar with Eucharistic miracles, I highly recommend checking them out, even just for curiosity’s sake. There is no scientific explanation for them, other than accepting on faith that Christ is still with his church and will be until the end of time.
Second thing you mentioned and I wanted to comment on, is that what you stated is a common misconception; we do not worship anyone besides God. We can honour the saints and Mary, same as we might do for a loved one who passed, and we ask for their prayers, in the same way you might say to a friend, “please pray for me.” This is a great article regarding that. https://www.catholic.com/tract/praying-to-the-saints
Archbishop Fulton Sheen was known to say that many people hate what they THINK the Catholic Church is. But if they knew the true Church, they would not.
You absolutely have a right to your own beliefs, and perhaps you have had some bad experiences with Catholics-in-name-only, but we are not all evil people and we follow God’s laws and the traditions passed down from the Apostles. Everyone is on their own journey. I will pray for you, and hope you will pray for me during this time. We are all in need of prayers.
