This sounds like my husband. He wants to get the vaccine, I don’t want him to. He is paranoid of people and being around anyone, doesn’t even want to kiss me because he “might get covid.” I’ve convinced him to “wait and see” a bit about the vax, but i don’t know if I can change his mind. Getting the vaccine didn’t help your husband “feel safer”? That’s what my husband said will happen if he gets it, but I honestly don’t think it will change anything.
It didn’t help my brother in law feel safer- he’s still paranoid and won’t be indoors around other people... and TBH my husband wasn’t that interested in getting the vax at first - my liberal daughter made the appointment for him b/c he has diabetes & she was paranoid. He was pretty pissed to think he got the jabs but could still get COVID. But he will still go out in the community & do things. He always has.
That’s the thing, I think if someone is paranoid before, they’re still going to be paranoid after. Thanks for sharing your experience with what’s happening with your family. And it is true, the vaccine doesn’t mean they won’t still get covid... good point.
