I was the same for over eight years. I worked as a Para for a school district for 81/2 years. I also worked as a waitress evenings and weekends during the same time period and picked up every lazy co-workers shift I could during the summer months.. Then on Saturday mornings I worked as a PMR for the post office. I was sleep deprived for all those years, but I never took any form of state aid. I was a single parent of three kids getting $300 a month child support and not any other form of help ie., medical etc. It was a tough time in my life. Yesterday I attended the graduation ceremony of my daughter, who earned a 4 year degree and will now enter the workforce for a year or two before she goes back to earn her Masters. All of my children are fighters. The ex tries to take credit for how well they turned out, but he was many states away and added very little, outside some excellent dna, toward how they turned out.
