The sheep where I live will be tickled to comply. We ended the mask "Mandate" here in the cornfields of Indiana April 6th. We were in TN the last couple weeks where they eliminated the mandate April 28. Virtually no masks where I was in TN. In INDIANA HOWEVER, in large Kroger this AM. Hundreds of people, there were a total of 5 of us without masks.
I live in Indy... went to Home Depot in Southport yesterday to buy mulch... 99% of people wearing masks and the fucking mulch is outside... made me want to scream WAKE THE FUCK UP... I literally feel like I'm living in the movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers
I know. It's maddening. I feel like I'm in one those scenes in The Walking Dead, where they covered themselves in zombie blood and walk amongst the dead. I keep thinking they are going to smell us. I've started carrying a back-up magazine. Too many.
The same scenario still occurs at my Kroger and HEB in one of the most conservative districts in Texas--I am usually the only shopper in the store not wearing a mask. I am also the only one I have ever noticed who cleans the cart handles before using while the muzzled masses do not. I saw a few more unmasked shoppers yesterday and wondered if they were conservatives from Kalifornia who moved here to escape the mask tyranny that so many here still demand.
