It also puts you out of fellowship with God, which then puts you out from under the special protection you have when you stay close to him, and prevents you from receiving the blessing you might have received. There are spiritual consequences both for you and your family.
Pretty harsh answer and not what I meant. I wasn't talking about salvation. But you can't be truly saved, still pursue sin, and expect to keep the same level of fellowship as if you are walking faithfully. "Can fresh water and salt water come from the same well?" If you are out of fellowship with God, how can you put on the whole armor of God for your protection from spiritual attack? I will have to think more about how to communicate this better. Thank you for challenging me.
