While he was rehabbing from extensive injuries, his PT was talking to him about God and the fact that he was surrounded by evil or something to that effect. She asked if she could pray over him and he said, "yea, sure" but kinda more like whatever floats your boat. He was raised a Christian but not very religious. As she told him she had first hand knowledge of some of the torture and abuse going on in Hollywood circles - I believe because she supposedly treated the victims - he started rewinding certain conversations and thing he saw that at the time seemed weird but he just dismissed them. Then he started researching reaching out to different people and fell way way down the rabbit hole. He decided to risk his career and reputation and make Out of Shadows. He's a hardcore Christian now. Described his experience as the result not of an epiphany in Church one day, but rather an epiphany that evil exists in this realm and it is very dangerous and real.
