Why couldnt she have known the staff was unhappy? Maybe because she didnt talk to them or was a total bitch to them? Even if a TV Show doesnt have the same sort of management structure a "corporate" business would have as the face of the show she should know enough about what is going on - if not her then someone who reports/speaks to her daily.

Of course she wouldnt see or realize anything if she was/is the problem (most likely scenario)
