What a hustle. Scott Adams says the investigation has not shown any evidence of hacking. And that that means, it wasn't even a hack job! This was a scam for some entity to get the "ransom" money. They just cannot stop being criminals.
I don't believe this...on so many levels. First off, I can't believe it would even be possible to shut the whole pipeline down, as many pedes have already pointed out.
Secondly, there's this:
"...the report is they paid within hours of the attack..."
Huh? If you had a security problem this big, you couldn't possibly fix it this fast. What's to stop the hackers from turning around and doing the same thing all over again for another $5 million?

Told my better half biden when it was first reported it was a demon (biden) who had this done not hackers. Why is it always red states????
So they gave the C-A 5 million.
That is such a pathetically token amount. Why only 5, and not 50 or 500?

I smell something very fishy !?
Why not just trash the current "ransomed" network and rebuild a new one?
I'm at a loss here, trying to figure this out.
