I have never felt fully informed in all the stuff with Israel and the Palestinians, Hamas, Gaza, et al. So hard to know when you're getting the truth or the spin. I trust people here more than most, so IF you actually can give me some background on the issues, please do. It would be appreciated and I'm sure there are others here who would appreciate it as well. Thanks.

After Israel became its own nation in 1948, Palestine lost their land. Basically they allowed them to live on the West Bank because both religions see the place as holy, but in different ways. Hamas is a terror group within Palestine that wants Israel gone. Israel is a nation with essentially American firepower that isn’t very easy to make “gone”. So the Palestine’s and the Jews love amongst one another and bicker constantly. Occasionally it boils over into conflict and then settles down.
But this time I feel like Old Nettie is tired of Hamas’s shit.
