Hope this is allowed! I've browsed on this site for a while, even had another username where I engaged in some fairly civil debates with other users before I was banned due to not being a Q follower.
Interested in having a friendly discussion with anyone who's up for it!
A bit about me:
I'm a mechanical engineer working in product marketing I live in a major city, Chicago, and have pretty much only voted democrat I am a homeowner I have followed conspiracies for a while based solely on my own curiosity, and by and large found that a lot of the major ones (pizzagate, Q) don't make a ton of sense, but I'm not here to argue that. I think we're just gonna have different opinions on it.
All said, happy to have a casual AMA! Not interested in flamebaiting or arguing
Companies can censor whatever content they want. I don't really see what's been censored that shouldn't be. There's a lot of fake news being circulated about the election fraud.
The audit, I think, can still go on, I don't see anything wrong with that. But silly posts that are made without facts to back it up are fake news.
Not aware of the ivermectin thing
Overall I think the world has always had its flare ups of chaos, and I think it would happen under any leader. I think the hype of WW3 under trump was overblown and I think the same about what people are saying now.
I think the riots are disgusting but the protests that were peaceful were good. Unfortunately when peaceful protest gets people nowhere a lot can turn to violence to make themselves heard.
I think critical race theory can be imporant, but it has its place in curriculum and doesn't need to be the forefront.
"I don't really see what's been censored that shouldn't be." <<<---- This is the core of the problem.
There are thoughts/speech that you believe should be censored.
(note that I am not referring to yelling "fire" in a movie theater, threats of violence, etc that are illegal)
What is being censored then that you feel should not be?
Everyone?
The answer for speech you don't like, is more speech. Censorship shuts down debate and ideas. If you don't like an idea, speak against it. Don't censor it. This is how ideas are debated. Speech and ideas that go against the grain is one of the things the first amendment was created to protect.
You may think your way of thinking is "correct", but I promise you, one day someone won't like what you have to say, or someone won't like your political stance, and that person may have the power to silence you. Should they?
Do you believe that all speech should be free, including fake news?
