Hope this is allowed! I've browsed on this site for a while, even had another username where I engaged in some fairly civil debates with other users before I was banned due to not being a Q follower.
Interested in having a friendly discussion with anyone who's up for it!
A bit about me:
I'm a mechanical engineer working in product marketing I live in a major city, Chicago, and have pretty much only voted democrat I am a homeowner I have followed conspiracies for a while based solely on my own curiosity, and by and large found that a lot of the major ones (pizzagate, Q) don't make a ton of sense, but I'm not here to argue that. I think we're just gonna have different opinions on it.
All said, happy to have a casual AMA! Not interested in flamebaiting or arguing
Well ultimately I think mental health is a big probelm in the US and we could use significantly more resources to not only help people, but normalizing asking for help. It's of my opinion that anyone can benefit from a therapist, and to be honest there has almsot always been a sitgma against it (speaking from my personal experience growing up)
Why is it such a big problem in the us? What if the resources are enabling the bad behaviors?
We are living in crazy times, some blame obama, some blame bush, i blame corporate funded govt.
Govt has been meddling in all parts of our lives to put us down and keep us there. Why should we have to pay into a failed system, that favors only those at the top?
Do you see the propaganda?
I think it's a problem because therapy isn't as normalized. It took me a long time before actually booking a therapist, because I was told to suck it up for as long as I can remember . Therapy is helpful to anyone.and I don't think enough people take advantage of it. I don't think these resources enable bad behavior, in my experience.
Your experience is just your own. When you zoom out, you will see that, just like all aspects of life, 2 out of 10 do good, while the rest are there for a check.
Not to mention, you are the one that controls what kind of information you disclose. You can manipulate your own treatment, if you are clever enough.
But what is the root cause for all this? Why now is there such a huge mental health issue in america?
How can you ever fix a problem without knowing how it started?
Isn't that what a therapist is for, to find the root of a person's mental health issue?
