I got hired at my job at the height of the scamdemic, July 2020. I never once wore a mask despite being told numerous times(never directly mind you always through group text or email) to wear a mask because we could get shut down. The bosses usually didn’t care and were pretty lax about it. Last week they decided to go scorched earth on everyone not wearing a mask calling them out individually in front of everyone to put on their mask over their mouth and nose. This came out of the blue(I think the owners got threats from local LE) and they wanted me to sign a paper saying I would wear a mask and follow CDC guidelines. I refused and was almost certain I was going to get fired then the owner got a call from the sheriff yesterday saying masks would now be optional in my county we can do whatever we want and just like that the owner ceased to care about masks and said they are now optional. Just a small victory but feels good none the less I can keep my job and my morality this time...
