New Haven also has the glorious distinction of being home to the most corrupt FBI field office in the country.

Welcome to New Haven, a quaint town that boasts Yale University and its tony suburbs along with an FBI office ruled by “fear and intimidation,” as one internal FBI report deemed it. A place where agents tail other agents and where FBI brass designate outliers as potential terrorists so they can win employment grievances.

The chronic shenanigans at the FBI’s New Haven field office are literally costing taxpayers millions of dollars.

Potatoes, as others have said, are relatively easy to grow and are nutritious.

If space is limited, Geo Pot Potato Bags are fun to use. They're a good baby step to gardening.

High quality soil is the key. I like to think of plants as a byproduct of the microbial organisms in the soil. Keep those beneficial bugs happy and thriving, and the plants will be more pest and disease resistant. Living organic soil is the "new" thing nowadays that farmers 100s of years ago understood intimately.

Use heirloom seeds, if possible. Sometimes supermarket potatoes are treated with sprout inhibitors, so they won't grow or will grow a little wonky. To test them, put a few in a paper bag and leave in a warm spot above 70 degrees for a couple weeks to see how well they sprout.

Also, being familiar with what Plant Hardiness Zone you live in is always helpful.

Good luck!

It's an ancient computer quirk, created by lazy nerds.

It stems from the question of whether a kilobyte is 1000 bytes or 1024 bytes.

Windows and Macs use different answers.

The difference can also lead to discrepancies when viewing the same file on different operating systems. Unlike Windows machines, Mac OS shows memory capacity using the digital version of GB (and has since the Snow Leopard release in 2009).

This is especially important if you’re sharing files. A user who receives a file from a Mac to their Windows machine will see a drop in file weight, which can raise concerns about the integrity of the file transfer. The user might think the file was corrupted during transit or some sort of compression was applied which is a hard no when sharing high-resolution files (e.g RAW video files).

In reality, there is no corruption or compression, and there’s nothing wrong with the file transfer tool.

#36, Very interesting "doorway" the Mars rover found. Reminded me of an ancient Egyptian archaeological find.

Spenser Rapone was the communist west point cadet. He got an other-than-honorable discharge, only after a lot of pressure. He's now safe and sound in grad school at University of Texas-Austin, studying Modern Arab Intellectual History, and working as a teaching assistant polluting young minds.
