What's cool about that is you see the tow aircraft going by and is outbound at least 10 seconds before the gun swivels into battery, acquires the target and fires. I did not see the target but in my time it was a radar-reflective sleeve at the end of a very long cable, probably still is. Weapons Free was not granted until the towing aircraft had marked on top the engaged ship and was outbound. Still, I always thought those pilots had balls of steel towing targets that got shot at by CIWS, or 5"54 Cal guns - same thing, even if those targets were a few miles behind them.
