If these people did this at the behest of China... if they were paid by China... or if there is ANY foreign involvement AT ALL then this needs to be tried as treason and they need to be lined up against a wall and shot on C-SPAN for everyone to see that this sort of bullshit isn't a joke.

Unfortunately, that's highly unlikely. Jovan Pulitzer explained that there is no legal precedent for prosecuting the foreign interference angle and no judge would be willing to do it. It has to be approached as a standard racketeering case.
