That is a reference to the speed at which he fell from heaven. As in lightning appears to come from the heaven to the ground in an instance.

Could also refer to a teleported. Think the rings from stargate series. Works similarly, like lightning from the sky. Also Mr. Bean being dropped off from his ship.
