I thought I understood cognitive dissonance. But people's willingness to dismiss peer review scientists and physicians with decades of non-political focus on their field in favor of some yahoo talking head is just mind boggling to me. It seems there is no one who could wake people up. It's always kill the messenger. But JFK Jr would be a game changer. Can you imagine? I really want it to be true. Doesn't mean it is. But I REALLY want it to be true.
