I'm reading into it, but it sounds like they may have used a non-default folder location for storing the election files, possibly to obfuscate their whereabouts? They were, after all, cheating.

That kind of thing can make you nervous, and make you do funny things.

This would explain why the auditors couldn't find the files. Why would you look in non-default folders? Also, the system may have created a copy in a backup folder or some such, which was wiped (like clearing your temp folder). This could explain why they found deleted files, but the libtards swore they didn't delete them.

Essentially, retardation from the libtards (expected), mild idiocy from the auditors, (also to be expected).

However, I wouldn't call restoring from the rexycle bin a deleted file recovery job, that's a bit much.
