If they want to play with genes and dna.why cant they use it for something good like giving us the abiity to regrow limbs and teeth? Something usefull

Exactly. A friend who is an Oral Surgeon told me a few years ago that there were breakthroughs where they could implant DNA into gums and a tooth would or could grow (simple explanation). Since they were not considered Permanent Teeth they were not approved for human usage yet.
