Money and power don't corrupt people, they're amplifiers. The people who are corrupt were always like that the money and power just let them show it to the world and gave them more opportunities to be who they already were.

It's like blaming a murder on the gun. The person didn't commit the murder because of the gun, the gun was just a tool used by someone who was already fucked enough to do that.
