Oregonian here. I have seen two businesses backpedal new policies within hours of announcing them. Both posted on Facebook that they would be requiring vax passports in order to go maskless.
One went so far to say they would be providing wristbands once vax status was proven so they would know you've been checked and approved. That one business is very seasonal and was closed most of last year so they are in a dire financial state already; GoFundMe and auctions circulated to support them. 12 hours after announcing their wristband policy, they said they decided they won't open for the time being while they reassess. People were pissed, with a lot of people regretting having contributed to try to keep them afloat.
The other business changed their policy within 4 hours; they're back to requiring masks for all and won't be checking vax passports. They provide memberships to their business and I think they got a lot of requests to cancel memberships with that new passport policy (myself included).
Bottom line, both businesses were following Oregon's new 'requirements' to a T and they changed with public pushback. The only way to affect change is for the people to push the businesses who go along with these draconian policies.

Thank you for the encouraging report!
The only way to effect change (meaning to bring about or cause to happen)
Maybe he wanted to "affect" the "change" that the Deep State brought about. ?
